About Esmé
Esmé received her Juris Doctor with an option in Law and Social Justice from the University of Ottawa in 2024, graduating Cum Laude. While completing her JD, Esmé was an executive member of the University of Ottawa Association of Women and the Law and dedicated her time to working as a Division Leader at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. In her third year of law school, Esmé completed a Legislative Development Internship at the Senate of Canada. Her keen interest in the art of oral advocacy led her to compete and place in multiple moots and mock negotiations, one of which she has now judged as a panel member. Prior to law school, Esmé attended Queen’s University where she graduated with distinction, receiving her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Gender Studies and a Certificate in Law.
Esmé joined Connolly Obagi in 2023 as a summer student and completed her articles with the firm in 2024/2025. After her call to the bar in 2025, she returned to the firm as an associate lawyer.
Esmé is currently a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Carleton County Law Association.
